Motoki Gotanda (Moto) is the President and CEO of Escola101 Inc., headquartered in Taiwan. He leads the company in providing comprehensive support to businesses and governments in Japan and Taiwan.
Moto began his career in sales at one of the world’s leading global companies and has held various positions in business development, corporate strategy, business planning, global operations, and new business divisions across Japan and Taiwan.
In his previous role, he served as the CEO of a joint venture between a Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime-listed company and a Taiwanese company, where he successfully established and led the new company to profitability.
Moto brings a wealth of experience from working with American, Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, and European firms, offering flexible and adaptable management approaches.
As a consultant, he is distinguished as one of the few Japanese professionals in Taiwan with extensive practical experience in local businesses. Moto possesses deep knowledge and experience in a wide range of industries, including IT high-tech (hardware, software, cloud), semiconductors, food service, tourism, dining, food products, manufacturing, apparel, and more.
In addition to his professional achievements, Moto has appeared in commercials with well-known Taiwanese singers as an actor and is an active amateur sports player in Taiwan.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Policy Management from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
